Egg Hunt!

Before the snow came again this weekend, we got A LITTLE TASTE OF SPRING! We went to an easter egg hunt at the park district. There were a ton of kids there! Cole had a blast. Here are a few pics....

Cole is still insisting on being naked. ALL the time.... At least he is wearing his underwear, on his HEAD! Help me!!

{No clothes, again!}

Why is it everytime I put Cole down for a nap, he ends up naked?!?! For the last week or so, Cole has been insisting he be naked when he sleeps. We do the ritual nap routine, read a few books together (dressed) I spend a few minutes laying down with him and then I leave. When I go back to check on him to see if he is sleeping I find a pile of clothes next to his bed and he is underneath all of the bed covers. I even try to get him to at least put on his undies and he gets soooo MAD. So I decided to pick my battles and he won. Oh-well, at least he still takes a nap!

For the last couple of months Chris has been working out of town. He is three hours away in Champaigne, so instead of driving back and forth everyday, he goes down for the week. The first couple of times were "nice", but now it is getting old. For me and Cole both. We miss him terribly all week while he is gone. So the other night I was putting Cole to bed and we were laying there talking......I told Cole that I miss daddy when he is not here. And he replied with the sweetest little voice, "don't be sad mommy, I'm here!! and Butch is here!" It was too sweet, I think I even started to cry when he said that. He was trying so hard to comfort me, usually it is the other way around. What a little man~

Here are a few fun pictures. Cole is showing off his new spiderman bathrobe. I bought it for him today because his new thing is he likes to take everything off and run around the house naked. So I thought he could at least wear this. This kid is nuts!! Sometimes I am not sure where he comes up with these ideas. I know no one else in this house does that!! hehehe

{Merry Christmas!}

Christmas has come and gone! We had a great time visiting with all of the family. Santa made it to our house and left Cole lots of gifts. Cole left Santa some milk and cookies and the reindeer a couple of carrots. He was sooooo excited. He set up Santa's plate so neatly with a napkin and all. Cole had a great time opening his presents. And with every gift he would shout "just what I wanted!! Thank you!" And then beg us to open the toy up. It was such a fun day. Daddy even got Cole's snowmobile up and running. Cole went for his first ride today all by himself. Chris gave him a couple of lessons first and then off he went. He did great. He loved it! He went around the yard and into the lot next door, weaving and turning around trees and his playset. He is a natural, just like his dad.

{Santa's House}

Today we took Cole to see SANTA! We went to Geneva where Santa has a little house set up. Mrs. Claus was there, too. At first Cole was a little shy, but it didn't take long for him to warm up to the big guy. Cole sat on his lap and rambled off a list of toys he wants for Christmas....dump truck, police car, race car...... Santa even gave Cole two candy canes to take home! It was a nice visit.
